Welcome to the choir's concert history.  Take a look at when and where we've held our public fund raising concerts, along with a complete repertoire of what was performed.  Also, we've listed the guest artists, soloists, and volunteers that have contributed so much to make each performance a success.  The concerts are listed here in reverse date order (the more read, the further in the past you will travel).  Enjoy!

Toronto Soundscapes: Sharing our Voices (May 2005)

A Celebration of the Toronto Cultural Mosaic with music from many world traditions.

Ding Dong Merrily on High (December 2004)

A Holiday Concert featuring the Brass Handbell Choir of St. John's York Mills under the direction of Carolyn Martin.

Voices of Earth (May 2004)

10th Anniversary Gala Concert featuring the Fauré Requiem and a newly commissioned work by Stephen Chatman.

With a Touch of Brass! (December 2003)

Including Christmas and Hanukkah music and traditional carols with audience participation.  Featuring the Toronto Horn Club under the direction of Barbara Bloomer.

Gershwin & Friends (May 2003)

Including music by Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Jerome Kern, and Richard Rodgers.

Of a Rose, a lovely Rose (December 2002)

Featuring Christmas music by John Rutter including The Reluctant Dragon.

Will Ye No Come Back Again (May 2002)

Music from Scotland, Ireland, Wales, and Maritime Canada.  Featuring renowned Cape Breton fiddler Sandy MacIntyre and step dancers too.

Christmas Around the World (December 2001)

A concert of Christmas carols from around the globe  as well as Hanukkah selections.  Featuring guest artists Victoria Pinnington, soprano, Timothy Southwell, tenor, and  Laurel Trainor, flute.

Sing with Joy! (May and June 2001)

A celebration of choral singing from Early Music to African-American Spirituals and Gospel Music.  Featuring guest choir Coro Anthem under the direction of Paola Versetti and guest narrator Rosemary Sadlier, President of the Ontario Black History Society.

Christmas Through the Ages (December 2000)

Featuring medieval carols in their original form as well as modern arrangements of 14th and 15th century texts (you'd be surprised at how many familiar carols come from this period). As well, sections in celebration of Hanukkah.

She's Like the Swallow (May 2000)

Guest artists join us in presenting words and music, film, dance, and theatre from across Canada.  Vignettes of the Canadian experience.

The Glory of Christmas (December 1999)

Brother Heinrich's Christmas by John Rutter (A Fable with Music); Gloria by Antonio Vivaldi; Other Seasonal Selections; Sing-Along of Favourite Carols

Let Us Take You To The Show (May 1999)

To salute the new millennium, we re-visit the turn of the last century and the birth of the Musical from its roots in European opera, to Broadway in the 1920's.  A Multimedia Event with guest artist Robert Ouellette.

Holiday Magic (December 1998)

Featuring The Reluctant Dragon (a musical entertainment by John Rutter) - The main character is a fire breathing, fearsome, fabulous, fairy tale, scaly, taily, green-bodied, red-eyed dragon.  St. George and the villagers work out their differences and all begin again as friends.  The program also includes selections of Christmas and Hanukkah music and our traditional seasonal sing-along.

A look at 20th century music.

In a Holiday Mood (December 1997)

A concert sure to put a smile on your face, a song in your heart, ... and the "merry" into Christmas.  Christmas & Hanukkah music; Spirituals & Classical; Madrigals & Favourite Carols (optional sing-along section).  Good fun and good cheer!
